Agent Marketing Minute: Let a Brag Book Tell Your Story

In today's competitive real estate marketplace, I still amazed at how few agents know how to communicate their real estate business story to a home buyer and seller. First impressions count, and you need to be prepared verbally and visually to tell your story and why the consumer should use you and not the competition. Soon after I started in the business I developed for lack of a better name, my brag book, that take on all listing appointments and first meetings with buyers.

My books' contents are always evolving and are constantly updated with current information and examples. The first section has as many active, pending, and closed listings as I can fit in. I include property brochures, postcards and virtual tours on CD-ROMs. Include a variety of price points and locations.

The second section has examples of newspaper advertisements, magazine features, and screen prints from my and my brokers web site to illustrate what types of marketing I do for a specific property.

Third in my brag book are the actual cards, letters, and emails that have testimonials from clients, both buyers and sellers, about their satisfaction with my real estate business.

Lastly, any awards or non-profit work I do in the community, I like to point out that giving back to the community is an important part of my business. After a client goes through my book, they have an comprehensive idea of what benefits I bring to the table. Let your brag book help tell your story to prospective clients.

Give Your Book Title Marketing Appeal for the Masses, P1

Does your book title still sound like a working title? Most working titles should never make it through the final edit. Titles are one of the most important aspects of your book. Getting this aspect wrong could mean your book never receives all the attention your message deserves.

Researchers say a dud title versus a sizzler title can cause your book to plummet or soar in sales. Therefore, you owe it to yourself and book's success to develop your best title. After all, the better your title -the more people will reach out- and grab your book to read. Develop your title to have marketing appeal for the masses.

To make sure your book garners all the attention it deserves, start with one of the top ten book title sizzlers below:

Use Concept and Memes to Connect Instantly.

One of the leading rules of developing a sizzling title is to aim for a concept, a memes, a word, or phrase that tell a story that your readers can immediately connect with and want to associate with. Names that tell a story, or express a benefit, are memes. They are words or visual images that tell a story at a glance.

As a primer to developing your own title, visit Sears and look at the brand names of their proprietary products. The short names of these products are concepts; that tell a story in an instant. At a glance you get it.
Tip! Your book marketing plan is what I describe as your map. It describes your book, what you will do after the book is completed and published.

You understand the message. Examples, include Diehard batteries, Weather-Beater paints and Craftsman tools. Each products name is a concept. Think about it, which product would you be attracted to "Diehard" or "Stop Slow". Or would you choose tools with the name "Apprentice" or "Craftsman?"

Many successful books are based on concepts or memes. For example, "A Happy Pocket Full of Money" by David Cameron tells a story of happiness and money. From the title you know this book is going to be about getting more money in your pocket.

The Chicken Soup series instantly brings images of comfort and being cared for. It resonated with a whole generation of Americans that have bought the book into the hundreds of thousands. The Dummies series communicate anyone can read one of these books because you don't have to know anything to get it. People automatically know the book will somehow make the complex simple to understand.

When developing your title, think of a concept, a meme, or phrase, that tell a story that your readers will instantly understand and want to be a part of. You may ask where are the benefits you're always telling me to include. The benefits are still a part of the meme title but a suggestive part. Your mind will fill in the benefit because it's an understood part of the story. For example:
Tip! If your book is your life, or is a major part of your business marketing plan, then spend some money on publicity and book marketing. Too many people, especially business people, write a book, put a page up on their web site (and on Amazon), and hope that they'll get some sales.

Chicken Soup brings the comfort and care of good stories. Pocket Full of Money know how to get a pocket full of money and gain happiness. Dummies communicates you don't have to be an expert to understand the book.

Don't forget when creating your title, your possibilities are limitless. Choose a title that is flexible enough to be expanded into more than one book. Think series, including other information products that can be developed and sold from your website.
Tip! That's it – the building of a book marketing plan in a nutshell if you will.

Book Summary: Secrets of Word Of Mouth Marketing

Spread the word about your hot new product or company!

Word-of-mouth marketing is the most powerful and persuasive weapon you can use, and it won't cost you anything! Based on George Silverman's years of consulting with successful word-of-mouth campaigns of his own clients, here is one of the first resources on how to harness the often underestimated power of word-of-mouth, and be heard above the media noise.

1. Word-of-mouth is actually the center of the marketing universe.

2. Just as it is untrue that the sun revolves around the earth, marketing does not really revolve around advertising, selling, and promotions. Much of marketing actually centers around illusion-creation.

3. Word-of-mouth offers an authenticity to it because the source is normally independent of the company, he or she is offering his or her own candid opinion and therefore, the marketing appears credible.

4. Advertising is the renting of a medium to send out a carefully crafted message to a specific audience. Everything is paid for, whereas word-of-mouth is a more effective tool; and best of all, it is absolutely free.

5. Word-of-mouth can take on a life of its own. There are no limits to how far-reaching it can be. Just study how fast a good joke on the e-mail circulates.
Tip! Use techniques such as blogs (blogging), Podcasting, and Videocasting (something like online infomercials). Be sure to check out the advanced book marketing teleseminar series at http://www.

6. Studies have shown that a satisfied customer will tell an average of three people about a product or service she likes, and eleven people about a product or service with which she had a negative experience.

7. Because this is the age of the Internet, e-mail, websites, chat rooms, and video teleconferencing, word-of-mouth is even more important to businesses today than ever before.

8. The most important way by which sales can increase is by increasing the speed with which decisions are made. Decision speed is the time it takes for your customer to go from initial awareness to enthusiastic use and recommendation of your product or service. Simplicity, ease, and fun govern the decision process.

9. Marketing success is determined more by the time it takes for your customer to decide on your product than by any other single factor. Decision speed is more powerful than positioning, image, value, customer satisfaction, guarantees, or even product superiority.
Tip! In this day and age, you would be making a big mistake if you didn't include the internet as a vital component of your Book Marketing Plan. The internet is the best way to directly reach your target customers.

10. Shortening the customer's decision cycle means your product's benefits, claims, and promises must be obvious and compelling; information must be clear, balanced, and credible; comparisons must reveal meaningful differences, your trials should be free and easy, your evaluations, clear and simple. Guarantees should be ironclad and generous. Testimonials and other word-of-mouth marketing must be relevant and believable. Delivery, training, and support offered must be superior.

11. A good way to spread the word on your company is to circulate true, positive stories about it. FedEx is famous for its legendary employee who hired a chopper just to deliver a package forgotten on the tarmac. People love a good story, and that is the essence of word of mouth.

12. There are 9 levels of word-of-mouth. They range from the public scandal of minus 4, the product boycott of minus 3, to the raving customers/advocates who tell you how great your product or service is (plus 3) to the "talk of the town" level (plus 4).

13. Examples of those who have reached plus 4 level of word-of-mouth marketing are:

14. Lexus Automobiles, Saturn Car Company, Harley-Davidson, Netscape Navigator, Celestial seasonings herbal tea, The Internet, and Apple Computer.
Tip! If your book is your life, or is a major part of your business marketing plan, then spend some money on publicity and book marketing. Too many people, especially business people, write a book, put a page up on their web site (and on Amazon), and hope that they'll get some sales.

15. Some ways of harnessing word of mouth are by using experts like customers, suppliers, salespeople, experts' roundtable discussions and selling groups. Take advantage of seminars, workshops, and speaking engagements, dinner meetings, teleconferenced panel discussions, and trade shows. "Canned" Word of Mouth consists of putting out videotapes, audiotapes, using a well-designed website, or distributing CDs. There are also ways such as referral selling programs, testimonials, and networking methods, hotlines (1-800 numbers) and e-mail.

16. Using traditional media for Word of Mouth means using customer service as a word-of-mouth engine, public relations, placements, unusual events, promotions, word of mouth in ads, sales brochures, or direct mail, salesperson programs, sales stars, peer training, or using salespeople as word-of-mouth generators, word-of-mouth incentive programs ("Tell-a-friend" programs), useful gifts to customers (articles, how-to manuals) that they can give their friends.

17. Employees should be actively spreading word of mouth about your products. Spread stories around about examples of superior customer service. Give people a common mission and make rewards dependent on the accomplishment of that mission.
Tip! The second leg of book marketing is the interior and exterior design of the book. People do judge a book by its cover, so if you're not spending some money on getting an outstanding cover, you're losing sales.

18. Word of mouth accelerates the process of customer decision-making, from deciding to decide, asking for information, weighing options, evaluating a free trial, and then finally becoming a customer and advocate.

19. With customer-oriented service, your company can increase sales via word of mouth.

Specific steps in creating a word of mouth campaign:

1. Find some way to get the product into the hands of key influencers.

2. Provide a channel for the influencers to talk and get all fired up about your product.

3. Gather testimonials and endorsements, like actual letters of praise.

4. Form an ongoing group that meets once a year in a resort but once a month by teleconference or daily by list group

5. Create fun events to bring users together and invite non-users. Saturn, Harley-Davidson, and Lexus have been successful with this approach.

6. Produce cassettes, videotapes, and clips on your Web site featuring enthusiastic customers talking with other enthusiastic customers. Custom-create some CDs for each potential customer.

7. Conduct seminars and workshops

8. Create a club with membership benefits

9. Pass out flyers. Tell friends. Offer special incentives and discounts for friends who tell their friends.

10. Use the Internet!

11. Do at least one outrageous thing to generate word of mouth.

12. Empower employees to go the extra mile.

13. Network and brainstorm for ideas
Tip! Besides book stores, you can also sell your books to nontraditional book buyers like display retailers, book clubs, catalogs, gift retailers, volume buyers (think Costco and Price Club), corporations, foundations and foreign markets. We sell thousands of self published books to buyers like these all the time and targeting these buyers should make up a good portion of your book marketing plan.

14. Run special sales

15. Script! Tell people exactly what to say in their word of mouth communication.

A Review of Mike Dillard's Network Marketing Magnetic Sponsoring Book

In his book, "Magnetic Sponsoring," Mike Dillard teaches you, the network marketer, how to apply the proper marketing strategies that will turn you into a magnetic sponsor.

Though the "Magnetic Sponsoring" book only prints out 49 pages of content, it does not teach network marketers how to promote their business step by step. It is a guide, not an exact step by step road map. I can compare the Magnetic Sponsoring book to a conversation Neo and Morpheus had concerning a woman known as "The Oracle" in "The Matrix" the movie 1999.

The dialog went like this:

"Neo: So is this the same Oracle that made the prophecy?

Morpheus: Yes. She's very old. She's been with us since the beginning.

Neo: The beginning?

Morpheus: Of the resistance.

Neo: And she knows what, everything?

Morpheus: She would say she knows enough.

Neo: And she's never wrong.

Morpheus: Try not to think of it in terms of right and wrong. She is a guide, Neo. She can help you to find the path.

Neo: She helped you?

Morpheus: Yes.

Neo: What did she tell you?

Morpheus: That I would find the One. I told you I can only show you the door. You have to walk through it."

In a book like this, the information has to be generic and serve as a guide designed to help the network marketer to become a magnetic sponsor, but he/she has to "walk through the door" and apply the information contained therein.

Mike Dillard, once a surgeon recruiter for many hospitals quit his job and became a table waiter in order to pursue his career in network marketing. After discovering the proper use of positioning, and "sellucation" his term for the art of self-selling through education, sponsored 35 personal reps. and grew his organization to over 500 within just months and averaged over $500,000 dollars per year in volume sales.

Today he spends his time and efforts teaching network marketers the proper strategies of marketing and magnetic sponsoring, as well as serving as a marketing consultant to industry leaders.

In "Magnetic Sponsoring," I found out that the strategy of the ABC business model is the most valuable a networker can learn. Mike doesn't just tell you what Part A, Part B, or Part C is. He teaches you how to apply that principle in your MLM business, network marketing business, internet marketing business, or what ever you want to call it in order to keep your business running, and to make sure there is constant cash flow, and growth.
Tip! If your book is your life, or is a major part of your business marketing plan, then spend some money on publicity and book marketing. Too many people, especially business people, write a book, put a page up on their web site (and on Amazon), and hope that they'll get some sales.

This book truly brings a fresh, high energy, revolutionary, and an effective approach to network marketing. "Sellucation" is intertwined through out the entire course. Educating prospects and applying the franchise business model is essential for network marketers to become magnetic sponsors.

Though it took me some time to fully understand how to apply magnetic sponsoring marketing techniques into my business, I feel that even people with little or no experience in MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business, should have no problems applying the proper marketing strategies found within the book after reading it a few times.

In his newsletter, Mike guarantees that in just ten days, he can turn you into a MLM lead & cash generating wiz! I have to confess that at first, I did not really believe that; I thought he was just another guy creating a lot of hype to make a quick buck. After reading his "Magnetic Sponsoring" book however, I really see that he can actually back up his claim.
Tip! Use techniques such as blogs (blogging), Podcasting, and Videocasting (something like online infomercials). Be sure to check out the advanced book marketing teleseminar series at http://www.

One thing I felt Mike could have done to make his book even better, was maybe expanding on the section about franchising a network marketing business with more specific, detailed explanations and/or illustrations as to how exactly this strategy should be applied so that the reader learns to apply this technique a lot faster, and effectively to his/her MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business. But then again, the information is very generic and it applies to any business. As long as is read carefully a few times, there souldn't be any problem applying those strategies.

Based on the claims that Mike makes in his free 10-day boot camp training, and in his "Magnetic Sponsoring" book, I could not think of any questions left unanswered, or any unfulfilled promises.

If you are in MLM business, network marketing business, or internet marketing business, you know that the life blood of any business are leads to generate prospects. In order to accomplish that you have to advertise and/or buy leads. If you are running your business on a shoe string budget, and want to generate prospects, generate cash to fund your advertising, and do NOT want to spend yourself out of business buying expensive leads, then my highest recommendation is this:

On a five star rating, one being the worst and five being the best, I give the "Magnetic Sponsoring" book a four star rating.

Though Mike Dillard has already produced a follow up ebook with 13 special reports on magnetic sponsoring that he gives as a bonus for acquiring the book, I hope he produces yet another more thorough breakdown of proper network marketing techniques book that teaches how to become extremely magnetic in network marketing.

Book Review – Guerrilla Marketing for FREE

Sure, advertising is easy if you're Pepsi or Apple, but what if you don't have millions of dollars to throw at TV and print ads? Any business owner out there looking to cut their marketing budget should look no further than Guerrilla Marketing for FREE - Dozens of No-Cost Tactics to Promote Your Business and Energize Your Profits by Jay Conrad Levinson.

We've all heard examples of businesses that spend nothing on marketing and yet never seem to be lacking in customers (Krispy Kreme Doughnuts comes to mind), but how do they do it? On the first page of the book Levinson lets you know that it is possible to grow a business without spending a dollar on marketing, but that it takes a lot of energy and time. Each of the simple tactics the book discusses (there are 100) are deceptively simple and, according to Levinson, have proven track records.

All that you need to get started is a telephone, a computer, a printer, business cards, and access to the internet. After that you will not spend another dollar. Techniques range from the relatively obvious, such as "write a marketing plan" and "have a website", to not-so-obvious things such as "establish a referral program" and "get involved in your community."

Many of the tactics involve giving to receive. In addition to doing volunteer work in your community, Levinson suggests joining local networking groups, giving away your product for free to non-profit organizations and schools, and doing free presentations on your area of expertise to local organizations. Levinson's tactics will not just help improve your bottom line, they'll help you become a more altruistic entrepreneur.
Tip! That's it – the building of a book marketing plan in a nutshell if you will.

If there's one downside to the book, it's that some of the techniques involving computers are outdated. For example, Levinson suggests advertising on free online classified sites. That may have worked years ago, but these days those sites are covered in spam and I doubt that any business would gain anything from listing on them. The book was written in 2003, so most of the techniques are still pretty valuable, but there's just a few that stand out as infeasible in 2006.

When reading Guerrilla Marketing for FREE by Jay Conrad Levinson, I found myself constantly putting it down and jotting down ideas that could help supercharge my business. Levinson truly invokes your creative juices. And the best part is that all of the techniques cost you NOTHING. This is a no-brainer purchase for all entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Rich Jerk- The Most Talked About E-book in the History of Internet Marketing

I've been involved with Internet marketing for several years now and have read dozens of ebooks on the subject, most of which have turned out to be a "get rich quick scam" or simply some useless information that I already knew or I could find online for free. I have never before been so impressed as I was the day I came across the Rich Jerk Website.

What compelled me to purchase the rich jerk was the way this Guy came across in his sales letter, it was unlike any sales letter that I had ever read, so I thought that perhaps the content would be unlike anything that I have ever read as well, and Man...was I ever right!

The Rich jerk ebook was initially priced at $199.00 but I was able to purchase it for $97.00, which I feel was worth every penny considering the amount of knowledge this guy has revealed. Recently the price has been dropped for a limited time, to only $49.00. if you're interested, I advise that you purchase it very soon!
Tip! Learn how to successfully market your book with these 10 valuable book marketing tips.

His sales copy and ebook content come across as being rude and arrogant but personally I think it is absolutely Pure Genius., he obviously knows how to create a BUZZ .which is exactly what has helped propel this ebook to being one of the top ten downloaded products from the ClickBank Marketplace, and in only a few short months.

The Rich Jerk ebook takes you by the hand and immediately gets right down to the "Bare Bones" of Internet Marketing without boring you with pages of useless fluff, that one fact alone puts the Rich Jerk ebook on the top of my list as the all time best money making information ebooks that I have ever read.
Tip! Use techniques such as blogs (blogging), Podcasting, and Videocasting (something like online infomercials). Be sure to check out the advanced book marketing teleseminar series at http://www.

As you probably already know, this ebook has raised many eyebrows amongst Internet marking experts, but surprisingly enough even the most successful online marketers will agree that they can't help but learn something from this book.

After implementing some of his strategies into my own online ventures, I can honestly say that I am really seeing a huge increase in my bottom line, I highly recommend The Rich Jerk .com to anyone who is involved with or is thinking about Internet marketing or any other online income opportunity.

The opening chapter titled: Creating an Affiliate website that sells like crazy, includes information on affiliate Marketing including a list of affiliate networks to join. Also included are five basic strategies to use in creating your sales letters. In my opinion, this chapter alone is worth the price of the book.

The 2nd chapter titled: Unique Search Engine PPC strategies - that kill your competition, offers an introduction to Google Adsense & Adwords programs as well as other pay-per-click channels, it also details an interesting strategy for combining the two for a successful campaign that can be duplicated time and again with different keywords.
Tip! However, it is just that -- one single component of your plan. There are many elements that will make up your book marketing plan and arranging to have your book available in bookstores is just one of them.

The 3rd chapter titled: Search Engine Optimization strategies, Includes some basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, focusing more on the the strategies and insights rather than the "nuts and bolts" of SEO.

The 4th chapter titled: Selling your own informational product (e.g. Internet marketing ebooks), offers tips on selecting your products and building your WebSite. Also included is a section on how to recruit affiliates to sell your products as well as how obtain e-mail addresses for future follow ups.

The 5th chapter titled: Buying wholesale and selling on e-bay, sheds some light on some of the ways that scam operators work (it should be noted that the Rich Jerk does not condone these tactics). I found this to be a very interesting read.
Tip! Beyond quotes, your book marketing plan should include a list of review copies of your book for possible mention, review in their publication or website.

The 5th chapter tilted: Websites you can make profitable right now (and be a rich jerk), details some very useful ideas with interesting analyses of highly profitable websites to get your creative juices flowing

The 7th chapter titled: Other online ventures to consider, includes a list of other ventures that one might want to consider down the road, although not hugely relevant to me, I suppose this information will be hugely relevant to others...To each, his own.

The 8th chapter titled: Supplemental info for beginners, this chapter was recently added to address the concerns of the "NEWBIE" Internet marketer, it is a beginners guide to the basic techniques and terminology used in affiliate marketing.
Tip! Your book marketing plan is what I describe as your map. It describes your book, what you will do after the book is completed and published.

The final chapter titled: Quality products/services I recommend, has a very good list of supplies and services that the Rich Jerk recommends and uses himself, it sorts the good from the bad and will save you tons of time in research and costly mistakes.

So, if you think the rich jerk is a scam...Think again! In fact why not do an Internet search for "rich jerk scam" You'll be absolutely amazed at the hundreds if not thousands of positive reviews that you will find.

On a final note, my advise to anyone involved with Internet Marketing is this, If you want to enjoy success online, do yourself a big favor and read "The Rich Jerk" income opportunity ebook then implement his strategies into your online ventures and I guarantee you will be a HUGE SUCCESS!

Email Marketing Reminds Me Of My First Reading Book

My first "grown-up" reading book had a lasting impact upon my life. This book was "What Katy Did" by Susan M Coolidge. It merited grown-up status because it had no pictures. This lack of pictures was initially a strike against the book: as a junior reader I judged a book not by its cover but by its number of illustrations and whether those illustrations were colour plates or sketches.

What has this to do with using email marketing to promote an Internet business (or any other business for that matter)? It's about making things happen by being in the appropriate place at exactly the right moment.

My much loved book did not have an instant impact, indeed I ignored it for a long time and would forget about it all together for long periods. I owned "Katy", as it became known in my family, for quite some time before I ever read it. The book was a Christmas gift to me from a great aunt who lived a long distance away and could only guess at my reading skills. The book was far too advanced for me when I received it. Katy was, therefore, a disappointing gift and was consigned to the toy cupboard behind the more immediately gratifying picture books, dolls and colourful paints.

Over time, Katy did see the light of day occasionally when I would come across the book and attempt to make sense of it. At first I was simply too young to understand all the words. Later on, I understood the words but the opening sentences did not grab my attention and I never felt compelled to read on.

One day I idly took Katy from my toy cupboard, glanced at the first page and was hooked. I fell in love with that book and devoured it in one sitting. I lived it, breathed it, slept it, wore it, read it over and over until the pages became detached from the spine. As far as is possible, I became the book. With high excitement I retold Katy's story to anyone who would listen. I daydreamed that I was as brave as Katy herself, as lovable as her pretty sister Clover and as kind as poor undervalued Elsie. I developed a desperate need to live in the countryside in a house with a barn, which I imagined would smell of warm wood like my grandmother's garden shed. The Christmas I was presented with "What Katy Did Next" I was so excited I practically had to be sedated. That was the beginning of my life as a serious bookworm.
Tip! But, there are a few small publishers (like Cold Tree Press or Arbor Books) who have excellent book marketing packages, ranging from several hundred to several thousand dollars (you get what you pay for!).

To be successful, Internet advertising has to be like my Katy book: it was positioned where I would come across it regularly until the day arrived when I was ready to appreciate it. If we advertise a product by emailing a contact list, and it produces disappointing results we should not rush to change the wording of the advertisement or assume the money is not in our list. Chopping and changing is never a good idea. We should consider that perhaps the disappointing result was simply a mater of timing. Maybe our email reached our prospects at a time when they were not in need of that particular product or not ready to appreciate it. Email is a cheap form of advertising so there is little to lose in repeating the same campaign at subsequent dates.
Tip! A good starting point is to break your plan up into major categories. From there, you can further define and set up strategies for each area of your book marketing plan.

Take as an example, an email promotion for a great autoresponder with all the bells and whistles a seasoned Internet marketer could want. If our mailing list includes many Internet marketing novices who have not yet discovered the joys of autoresponder systems, our advertisement is unlikely to be understood or appreciated. We probably won't inspire interest let alone make a sale to a group of people who would be more interested in a "first steps" ebook. However, if we consistently repeat our autoresponder campaign at respectable intervals, the day will arrive when our novices evolve into mature marketers. They will understand the value of useful tools such as a multi-featured autoresponder, and they will be ready to buy.
Tip! It does matter how many of these sources you use - just use them. If you are interested in learning a lot more about book marketing check out www.

Our advertisement can't be everywhere all the time, but we need to make sure it's in as many places as possible as often as possible, dangling its baited hook. When the day arrives that our newbie customers outgrow their picture books, they will be ready to appreciate the advertisement that has been popping up regularly for longer than they can remember. Our customers probably won't get as excited as I did about my Katy books but if they like our product enough, they will tell everyone they meet how good it is and that's a great form of free advertising.

Internet Marketing - How to Write Your Own E-book

I tell you now the first e-book I ever wrote sat in my directory for a few months. I was scared out of my wits to actually put it out there incase the reaction was "bad". I even considered saving up several thousands of dollars to get a professional to re-write what I wrote.

But of course I eventually plucked up the courage and thought bugger it, I'm going to put it out there and if the response is bad then I'll take it off, if the response is good I'll leave it and continue to write more.

Well I can confirm that I've only received positive feedback from all books and articles I've written. And if I can do it, so can you. I write in the exact same manner as I would speak to you if I were to speak to you in person. I'm certainly not grammatically correct in most of my sentences and I'm well known for my aussie slang.

But this is what gives your books and articles personality! Not just the same ol' mundane thing you get from most books filled with formality after formality. Add some humour into your book (that's always a crowd pleaser), you don't want your audience falling asleep on you ;-)

Writing a book can take a lot less time then you actually think. A few of the book's I've written in my time only took me a couple of days to write. I knew my subject well, and that will help a great deal in cutting down the time. If you need to research expect it to take a lot longer.

But everyone knows something that others will want to know. Ask yourself these questions…

What are you passionate about? What have you personally experienced in life? What subject do you hold a lot of knowledge about? Once you figure that out you're just about there!
Tip! Just imagine your book sales, PR accomplishments and the supplemental income you can acquire by becoming an expert in a niche based upon your book's theme while incorporating an effective Internet book marketing program.

Targeted Marketing For Your E-Book Business

This article overlaps a little with our earlier article about finding a suitable topic to use for marketing your online information products. This time, though, we'll go into how to go about marketing to a specific group of people.

First, though, why do people buy information online? Why would someone shell out their hard-earned dollars for your product? When you start your advertising campaign, you've got to think about that. This brings up the question: Why do people buy any kind of information, or for that matter, why do they buy anything at all? Think about that for a few minutes before continuing to the next paragraph.

Think…think…think…think…think…

Got it? Have you figured out what makes people buy stuff? The answer, in its most basic form, is that people buy stuff in order to solve a problem. Their problem can be real or merely perceived to be real. It doesn't really matter from the point of view of the seller. People will be interested in your information only if you can solve a problem for them or provide some unique or new information that they would like to have.
Tip! That's it – the building of a book marketing plan in a nutshell if you will.

When you figure out what problem it is you're going to solve, you can then sell your solution to your target audience. You must be creative and open to seeing solutions. Evaluate if they're willing to pay for info. Maybe your info is available for free, but the problem is that it's scattered all over the Internet and not available in any one concise location. People will pay for the convenience of not having to assemble all of the info themselves, because it saves them time, even if the free info is available elsewhere.

A great example of this kind of info repackaging can be found in the Linux movement. Linux is a Unix-based PC operating system that many people are using instead of Microsoft Windows. Linux was developed by a multitude of programmers all sharing their efforts with each other online. Their sources are completely open to the public, but unless you're a serious hacker it still requires a lot of effort to successfully install and set up a Linux PC correctly. Along comes a company called Red Hat (there are others, too), that took all that free, open-source stuff and packaged it on a CD in a way that made it convenient for the general public to be able to buy and install Linux. The draw is that it's way, way cheaper than buying Microsoft Windows. While most people still prefer Windows, there is still a large enough market to make Red Hat's "free" information product profitable. (By the way, I'm not in ANY way connected to Red Hat, and yes I still prefer Windows!)
Tip! It does matter how many of these sources you use - just use them. If you are interested in learning a lot more about book marketing check out www.

Most likely you will have come up with a topic that is only of interest to a rather small group of people. Here we use the word small in a relative way. There could still be a very large number of potential customers in your target group, but compared to the entire population in general, it is a very small percentage. For example, let's say you are going to sell information on how to create a profitable jewelry-making business. You probably wouldn't want to advertise to hot-rod car building enthusiasts.
Tip! Take a "no holds barred" approach to book marketing.

Selling to your targeted group might not be as hard as you think. You simply have to find out where they already go for information and start advertising there. How do you find them? Once again, your best bet is to start with the Internet. Find out where they hang out online. Yahoo groups would be a start. Join some forums or email lists and listen in on where they go for their info. Some forums will let you do a little bit of self-promotion as long as you're not overbearing about it. Keep in mind these people are there to learn and exchange information with each other, not to be subjected to lots of advertising. If you can provide some meaningful discussion along with your self-promotion you will gain their respect and build credibility for yourself.

If you have a quality product, this group will do your advertising for you by word of mouth. This is especially important when you're first starting out and your resources are slim and you need to build your revenue base.

Don't limit yourself to advertising exclusively online, either. There are many, many print publications that cater to increasingly smaller target audiences. These can be a great source of additional advertising for you. This type of ad will probably be more expensive than advertising online, but since many people hang onto these publications, your ad will be in front of them a lot longer than your web page will be. Since it usually takes more than one exposure to your product before someone buys, this can be a big help to you. There are other ways to ensure multiple exposures of your products to your customers, but that's a big subject for another day!
Tip! In book marketing, a book cannot be promoted without first identifying who the readers are in advance of a single sale. When we find the reasons why that reader will read that book, we then craft the most effective message to be conveyed to the information sources that reader relies upon.

So, till next time…Success to you!

Magic E-Book Marketing

Internet has its own rules that are different from the outside physical world. Unlike the virtual world the Viral marketing efforts are considered secondary for a wide scale marketing but in the world of internet Viral marketing rules. Talk about Google, nobody saw an ad for Google yet its most popular. Such is the force of Viral marketing. e Books like all other internet based products are extremely well marketed by such viral marketing methods.

Some methods to market your great ebook:

Viral marketing for your e book:

The first step will be to create great content. Once that is done the next step will be to provide your book with a Cover. The ebook cover should be done in all three sizes and should be kept in all possible file formats. Use any text management utility software for creating small ads for your use. Create small but effective action oriented ads targeting different customers or groups. Each with strong headlines will be used for different people.

Next step will be creating a Resource Page. Avoid calling the Link Page you make, a Link page. Create separate email setup for your Viral marketing offers.

Next you should do is contact all the webmaster who offer similar information/products etc on their websites and then try clubbing your book with their products. Maybe you could just attach bonus sample of shorter length to their products. That ways more people get to hear about your ebook.

Selling the ebook: For direct selling, create a fabulous Sales Page telling about your e book. Lots of research has been done into what approach sells best what words work etc. Read these researches and work on the Sales' Letter. Gradually put in your pitch and close the sale at end. Great headlines, a compelling copy and testimonials generally, mark a good Sales Letter. Ever body loves free gifts and a Sales Letter should offer one. This gift, if compliments the product you offer, will be great!!
Tip! Once you have gathered all of this information, you are ready to create your book marketing plan. If you are going to submit this plan to a prospective publisher, make sure to follow their guidelines, if necessary.

If possible try to attach sample pages also. They should be catchy informative and attractive. Understand that in a book store people read through the back pages preface etc. In case of your e book they can browse through the sample pages, get hooked and eventually buy it. Curiosity is always the best seller.

Part selling the ebook: In case your ebook can be divided in sets where in one set is independent or at least complete piece of information in itself consider selling it in parts also. That ways if somebody is interested din a part of the book he need not invest in whole book.
Tip! Your book marketing plan is what I describe as your map. It describes your book, what you will do after the book is completed and published.

Offline Selling: Keep some hard copies ready and make the ebook printing friendly for your offline customers.

Tweaking the ebook: Consider tweaking the ebook for different target groups. A crafts book can be turned to business book with small changes in the work. Market the book to different customers at a same time without much of effort.

Update the ebook: Prepare updates at equal intervals of time. This method will help you sell your book as an update version compliance with new data researches etc. Information intensive books are more valued when they have latest statistics.

Provision of free consulting: Keep a provision of free email/phone consulting open for the customers. This will make them more confident to purchase the product.

A good book sells well. Great content will sell itself but will take time to do that on its own. Above efforts on your part will make the work popular and will not only make money for you but will also help the readers gain knowledge and add value.
Tip! The second leg of book marketing is the interior and exterior design of the book. People do judge a book by its cover, so if you're not spending some money on getting an outstanding cover, you're losing sales.

The Rich Jerk - The Most Talked About E-book in the History of Internet Marketing

If you haven't already heard about ClickBank's #1 selling Money making ebook, then grab a coffee and kick your heels up because we think you're going to find this article to be a very interesting read!

For a long while the author of the Rich Jerk e-book was unknown to most of the Internet world, but with so much interest being stirred it was only a matter of time before his true identity would be exposed.

After doing some extensive research I have learned that the Rich Jerk is actually (at the time of this writing) a 26 year old gentleman by the name of Kelly Felix, who is the mastermind behind many success stories such as CreditProfessional inc, guesswhatiheard.com and of course The Rich Jerk.com, just to name a few.

Is The Rich jerk a scam?...After reading this revealing ebook it is my opinion that the Rich Jerk is NOT A SCAM!
Tip! Learn how to successfully market your book with these 10 valuable book marketing tips.

Critics just can't wait to review the scams & schemes that don't live up to their promises and to shoot down the product creator's credibility to Hell. All I can say is this, since The Rich Jerk exploded onto the Internet scene...The Critics Have Been Silent

During the last six years, The Rich Jerk has made over $13 million online and is also well known for selling one of his websites on e-bay for the tidy sum of $379,000.00. using his own strategies.

The Rich Jerk Website currently has an Alexa traffic ranking of about 3000 and an Alexa review rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

His 64 page newly revised ebook shows many of the strategies he uses to make big money online, and although it was not initially written for beginners there is now a new chapter dedicated to those who are just starting out.

Unlike many of the other wealth building ebooks you will find online, the Rich Jerk (Kelly Felix) truly practices what he preaches and he has amassed Millions of Dollars as a result.

Although his writing style is uncharacteristic of most How-To ebooks, the bottom line is that he gets right down to the nuts and bolts of successful Internet/affiliate marketing and pulls no punches in his approach.
Tip! If your book is your life, or is a major part of your business marketing plan, then spend some money on publicity and book marketing. Too many people, especially business people, write a book, put a page up on their web site (and on Amazon), and hope that they'll get some sales.

Overall, Kelly Felix (the Rich Jerk) is a force to be reckoned with and has turned the Internet marketing world upside down leaving many so called "Internet marketing Gurus" in his wake.

This book, in my opinion, will be a tremendous value to anyone serious about making money on the Internet. The 64 pages are choc-full-of extremely useful and time tested content not found in many other ebooks that I have read. You can be brand new to Internet Marketing or a Seasoned Professional, this book will prove to be invaluable to all!
Tip! Take a "no holds barred" approach to book marketing.

We believe that $225 Pumas will make our feet feel better and look cooler than $20 no-names…and believing it makes it true. Successful marketers…tell a story. A story we want to believe. Lance Winslow

Don't Clone Your Book or Business Marketing

Remember that the miracle of cloning sheep has its drawbacks. The main one--dying young.

Don't let your business die young by following the herd. Instead, think of the natural ways you like to market.

Here are some marketing ideas that make big promises, and don't always deliver. And, when followed by investing a large amount of money and time, only a few who follow these expensive programs will get the results they hope for.

One. Make your book a #1 best seller on Amazon. This idea teaches authors that if they offer $1000's of bonus books, reports and the like, and tell all their email lists to buy the book on a particular day at Amazon, they will make extreme sales.

In many sales letters that give away $1000's more than the price of their book, it looks a little suspicious or gimmicky. "Killer copy" and other web sizzle language doesn't bring confidence to most business people. The programs sold are over $2500. An old saying came from Robert Allen something like: "You make much more money teaching people how to make money than they ever will implementing the skills."

Two. Optimize your web site standings in the search engines with ads placed in Google.com and through pay-per-click advertising.

For the pay-per-click program, after putting a lot of time into writing ad copy, paying an upfront consultant fee, and paying monthly costs of the key words, I'd say the results for my top four business books were near 0.

Yes, I heard of one author that didn't invest more than $400 a month to reap $4000 book sales, but her book was highly specialized. When another web master I know followed this tact, she invested thousands a month to yield 50% sales in the beginning months.. For $2500 investment for the first month, she made $1250. Once the competition caught on, her sales dropped way below 50% and no longer gave her a desired income.
Tip! A good starting point is to break your plan up into major categories. From there, you can further define and set up strategies for each area of your book marketing plan.

Three. You pay around $1000 to get you book into a Print on Demand format and be listed on the POD web site. Sounds good? Maybe not. These printers do not promote your book, just as publishers don't. They take a big cut from your sales, and your book may be priced too high to make good sales. Most authors make no or little money from this adventure. With just a little education and professional bookcoaching, you can learn a much better way-far less expensive and still get your POD book out there.

Natural Marketing-Three Ideas

One. Like myself, if you are an author or small business, it will be easy and natural for you to write short articles and tips for top web sites and article directories in your field. This one action has kept me at #1 in Google for the phrase "bookcoaching." for five years and has placed my writings on over 129,000 sites, the number increasing 1000 each month. That means 3500 targeted visitors a day at my site. That means great sales.

Two. If you don't like to write much, maybe you'll like BLOGs. They bring similar results as the articles and your own ezine do. It's a mini web site, and an interactive process your visitors will like it because they see you more casually and personally. When I wrote a blog, it was question and answer format, also letting my humor and opinions out to show I'm human. You can also put your how to articles on your blog with a link towhere you sell your products or service.
Tip! Also, book clubs are often sponsored by publishers and book marketing groups, so members are usually given hefty discounts (as much as 50% off!) and early access to the newest and most sought-after releases. You can also borrow and exchange books with either the club itself (if it has its own collection) or with the other club members.

Three. If you like to share yourself and your solutions with others publically, you may enjoy presenting to groups and have your product available at the back of the room. A similar venue would be joining a networking group. Bring your business card that features either your blog site URL or your ezine subscription information. When you collect these email addresses, you grow your lists of targeted potential buyers. .
Tip! Take a "no holds barred" approach to book marketing.

Cloning isn't always healthy or profitable. Stay true to your own style of sharing yourself, your business, or book.
